USB drive is most commonly used for sharing and transferring data from one system to the other. There are many purposes for which a USB drive can be used. They are available in various sizes in terms of data storage capacity. The price of the USB is also fixed on the basis of the storage capacity.

Portable application on any system can be run with the help of a USB. For example Mozilla Firefox is a portable application that is used for surfing the net and checking the mails. You can simply store the application on the USB and use it on which ever computer system you want. It is handy and can be made available in your pocket. The normal storage capacity in a USB drive is so much that you can also store a whole suite of applications on it. Just take the applications from an individual’s system and install it on your PC for use. It is better to do this than to take your PC to a different location and get the application installed on the hard disk drive of your PC.

There are various sites available that support the use of USB drive. They help you in downloading the application and also help by explaining the procedure that is to be followed for downloading and using it. The only requirement for a USB drive is that the system must have the port on it as it is either available at the back or in the front of most digital devices.
