The importance of camera filters

In order to increase the image properties we use camera filters. Filters change the properties of light which enters into the camera.

Filters are made by optical elements.

Many varieties of filters are available in the market, including

UV filters - These filters will protect the camera lens from ultraviolet rays. It is advisable to leave your UV filters all the time along with the camera.
Protector filters - These filters protects the lens from dirt and scratches.
Neutral Density filters – This filter is useful for videos. They prevent the brightness in the images especially use for taking photographs of waterfalls.
Close up filters – It is used for close up photography.
Split Field filters – If you need one half of the photography with close up effect and with another half is normal.
Intensifier filters - It is used to enhance and intensify the color of the photography.
Diffusion filters - Diffusion filters gives us soft focus effect.
Half color and Gradual color filters - Half of the filter is colored and another half is clear.
80A, 80B and 80C filters – These filters are used for colored photography in artificial light.
Warming or cooling filters – To change the white balance we use these filters.
Graduated neutral density filters – It is used to control strong light gradients.

By using these above different filters we can protect our lenses as well as it is possible to produce different photographic effects.

Camera filters help create real and large effect on your image.
